Ad Trafficker

The Ad Trafficker will be responsible to place, optimize, and bill digital campaigns sold by The Denver Post. Traffickers liaise with sales, media planning and media development to create campaign delivery strategies, anticipate delivery and performance issues, and communicate with stakeholders.

Duties Include:

  • Analyze multi-media campaigns and place them on the The Denver Post’s ad serving platforms
  • Ensure advertisers’ needs are met and our resources are being fully utilized
  • Anticipate ad inventory shortfalls and performance issues and engage sales to address
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, set priorities, and offer realistic solutions to maximize efficiency
  • Ensuring all stakeholders receive timely and actionable communication regarding the campaign’s performance
  • Lead efforts to ensure the company maximizes the potential of its advertising network management system
  • Build strong relationships and encourage a collaborative approach across the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum 2 years of online ad traffic management experience.

Familiarity with Yahoo! APT preferred; expertise with an industry leading display ad serving platform (DFP, Atlas, Mediaplex) to effectively maximize productivity and efficiencies of campaigns required.

Proven expertise with multi-media (display, rich media, SEM, newsletters, email, mobile etc.) online ad trafficking a plus.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate, negotiate, and work as part of a dynamic and cross-functional team.

Ability to strategically prioritize, respond to changing issues, cope with the unexpected, and achieve results with tight deadlines.

Detail and results oriented with strong analytical skills.

Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.

Must be organized and capable of tracking multiple issues simultaneously.

Proven ability to work and communicate with all members of a project team.

Proficient with Excel and quantitative analysis.

Digital Media - Product Manager

The Digital, Product Manager will be responsible for managing various niche interactive properties from conception, to market delivery and ongoing evolution. This position necessitates a keen interest in digital media and the drive to consistently remain a thought leader. This individual should be comfortable forging new ground, leading through influence, working collaboratively and building buy-in/support.

Responsibilities:

Content – Responsible for all related editorial and advertorial content ensuring depth, quality and freshness:

  • Content creation via interface with editorial and other parties
  • Establish processes/procedures to manage content that could be deemed “contentious” to advertisers
  • Identification, evaluation, recommendation and implementation of content sources used for Content aggregation, selection and management of aggregated content

Site Evolution – Create niche product road-map based upon aggregation of stakeholder needs and market/trend analysis. This would include working in close collaboration with other departments including sales as well as evaluating others considered best-in-class category and understanding tends in how they infludence the value of the site. Including content, features/functions, social media, traffic generation etc.

Site Performance Ownership – Understand, evaluate and proactively pursue opportunities to improve site performance

Site Promotion – Working collaboratively with marketing ensure products are positioned with clear go-to-market plans and marketing materials.

Create concise business cases to justify (ROI) investments and provide insight into making tradeoff decisions.

Identify, evaluate and work collaboratively with content vendors ensuring optimal delivery and service levels are achieved.

Establish and maintain strong cross-organizational partnerships both internally within DP, MNG as well as externally with vendors, partners and clients.

Participate in the evaluation, selection and negotiation of various technology, service and content partners within niche product area.

Ensure thorough effective project management timely delivery of opportunities from idea through to revenue recognition.

Regularly reporting on metrics to goals(s).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equilvalent experience. A minimum of three to five years experience in a creation of niche digital media products.

Minimum three years within some combination of the following: internet advertising, web publishing or social media.

Proven ability to think strategically about market needs, business impact, and product design.

Excellent communication skills. Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to work independently when needed and take initiative.

Digital Sales Executive
Interactive Media

The DNA is looking for qualified Sales and Marketing individuals to sell the DNA Digital portfolio within a designated territory with strong emphasis on new business development. Achieve or exceed specific individual and team targets. Develop and increase total online revenue among the print sales staff and assist in growing each individual print rep’s online account base. Deliver professional, polished and concise presentations. Implementing and execute the roll-out and sales of new interactive products and initiatives. As a Digital Sales Executive you will be expected to achieve both a personal revenue goal and a team revenue goal. Achieve revenue goals assigned to each specific digital product line. Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1 – 5 years related experience. Minimum 1 year of previous interactive sales experience. Ability to lead through influence. Ability to effectively present complex information to a non-technical audience of varying sizes. Proactive development of personal knowledge. Account Executive/Automotive/Classified

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service accounts utilizing applicable research, knowledge of the company and speculative ad layouts when applicable.
  • Assist customer in design layout and copywriting.
  • Manage all paperwork and details necessary to proficiently perform the job to include timely handling of credit adjustments and maintenance of account files.
  • Develop new business via prospecting.
  • Sell against competing media.
  • Present and sell all company special sections to appropriate accounts on territory list.
  • Develop sales presentations targeted to account needs.
  • Responsible for monthly revenue projections.
  • Responsible for setting goals and tracking progress with sales manager.

Qualifications:
  • College degree preferred
  • 2 – 3 years general sales experience or 1 – 2 years newspaper advertising sales experience, auto experience a plus.
  • Good selling and customer service skills
  • Must have valid drivers license in order to visit clients on site.
  • Strong organizational skills, strong computer skills, proven sales track record and ability to work well with others.
